    If you are traveling by car, take MN-210 W from anywhere in the Central Lakes Region. Continue on MN-210 W and merge onto I-35 N. Take exit 256A for US-53 N toward Virginia. Merge onto US-53 N and follow it until it turns into I-35 N. Continue on I-35 N until you reach Duluth. Take exit 256B to merge onto MN-194 W. Follow MN-194 W to W Michigan St. The Lake Superior Railroad Museum will be on your right at 506 W Michigan St, Duluth, MN 55802. Parking is available nearby, and may incur a small fee depending on the lot you choose.

  • Public Transportation

    For public transportation, you can use the Northstar Link bus service to connect from the Central Lakes Region to the nearest major transit hub. Once you arrive in the Duluth area, you can use the Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) buses to get to the museum. The DTA Route 8 will take you close to the museum. Get off at the Michigan St & 5th Ave W stop, and the museum is just a short walk from there (about 5 minutes). Be sure to check the DTA schedule for bus times to ensure you arrive on time. A one-way fare for the DTA is approximately $1.50.
