If you are starting from downtown Duluth, head to the Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) bus terminal located at 232 1st Ave W. Take bus number 5 (Lakeside) heading towards Lakeside. The bus will take you along London Road and then turn onto Superior Street. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Superior Street and 60th Avenue East. Walk east along 60th Avenue East until you reach Lester River Road (about a 10-minute walk). Turn right onto Lester River Road, and you will find Lester Park Trails & Playground on your left.

From downtown Duluth, you can bike to Lester Park Trails & Playground. Start on the Munger Trail, which is accessible from the downtown area. Follow the Munger Trail east towards the Lakeside neighborhood. Continue until you reach the intersection with 60th Avenue East. Turn left onto 60th Avenue East and bike until you reach Lester River Road. Turn right onto Lester River Road, and the park will be on your left, approximately a mile ahead.
