Getting There

• Walking

  Start your journey at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a central point in the city. From the square, head towards the east exit, passing by the 55-Window Palace. Once you exit, continue straight onto the main road leading out of the square. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the junction with Panauti-Namobuddha Road. At this junction, take a left and continue walking along this scenic road for approximately 30 minutes. You will pass by local shops and small eateries. Keep an eye out for signs that indicate the direction to Mahadev Temple. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will arrive at Mahadev Temple, a serene place of worship with beautiful views.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Bhaktapur. Begin your ride from Bhaktapur Durbar Square, heading towards the east exit. Once you exit the square, take a left onto the Panauti-Namobuddha Road. The ride will take around 20 minutes, covering a distance of approximately 3 kilometers. As you cycle, enjoy the local scenery and be cautious of pedestrians and vehicles. Arrive at Mahadev Temple, which will be on your right side as you approach.
