Getting There

Walking
If you are in the Thamel area, start walking towards the north along the narrow streets of Thamel. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the main road called 'Durbar Marg.' Turn left onto Durbar Marg and walk straight until you reach the 'Basantapur Durbar Square.' Once you arrive at Durbar Square, head towards the east side of the square, and you will see a large gate leading to the Ason area. Walk through this gate and continue straight. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards Kumari Temple. The temple is located near Ason Chowk, at P846+XRX, which is a short walk from the main square.

If you are near the Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), you can take a local walking route. Begin your descent from the stupa, heading towards the 'Kopankhal' area. Follow the path leading down the hill, and when you reach the main road, turn right. Continue walking straight until you reach the 'Kantipath Road.' From there, turn left and walk until you reach the intersection with 'Durbar Marg.' At that point, follow the instructions to Durbar Square as mentioned above, and proceed to Ason Chowk to locate Kumari Temple.

If you are coming from the Kathmandu Durbar Square, start by walking south towards the 'New Road' area. Once you reach New Road, head east into the Ason area. Look for signs that lead you to Ason Chowk. Once you reach Ason Chowk, Kumari Temple is located at P846+XRX, just a short walk from the chowk. You may need to ask locals for directions if you are unsure, as they can guide you to the temple.
