If you are starting from Thamel, head south towards the Basantapur Durbar Square. As you exit Thamel, keep walking straight until you reach the square. From Basantapur, you can see Indrachok to the southeast. Walk through the narrow streets, following the signs towards Indra Chowk. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Indrachok.

If you are near the Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), head down towards the city center. Walk toward the Kirtipur area and follow the road signs leading to Durbar Square. Once you reach Durbar Square, continue straight towards the entrance of Basantapur. From there, follow the same directions to Indrachok as outlined from Thamel.
