If you're starting from the Thamel area, head east along the main street until you reach the Ratna Park. From Ratna Park, take the road that leads towards the Kathmandu Durbar Square area. Walk through the square, enjoying the sights. Continue towards Basantapur, and look for Layaku Marg. The Trailokya Mohan Narayan Temple is located on Layaku Marg, approximately a 15-minute walk from Durbar Square.

Board a microbus or local bus heading towards Bhaktapur or Boudhanath from any main bus stop in Kathmandu. Request to be dropped off at the Kathmandu Durbar Square stop.
