If you are already within the Valley of Fire State Park area, the main road is the Valley of Fire Highway (NV-169). To reach the various points of interest within the park, simply follow this highway. For example, to get to the Fire Wave, continue along NV-169 until you see the Fire Wave trailhead sign on your right. There are parking areas available at each site, and a $10 per vehicle entrance fee is required upon entry to the park.

Currently, public transportation options directly to Valley of Fire State Park are limited. If you're relying on public transit, the best option is to take a bus from Las Vegas to nearby Overton, NV. From Overton, you may need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to get to the park entrance, which is approximately 15 miles away. Be sure to check the schedule for the bus service to plan your return trip as well.

Once inside the Valley of Fire State Park, many trails are accessible for walking or hiking. For example, if you park at the visitor center, you can take a short 1-mile hike to the Mouse's Tank, which features petroglyphs and stunning rock formations.
