For those using public transportation, take a NJ Transit train or bus to the nearest stop in the area, which is the Delaware Water Gap station. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to the Appalachian National Scenic Trail access point. Once dropped off, follow the marked trails towards the Large Pile of Rocks, approximately a 1-mile hike from the access point.
