The Iconic Brooklyn Bridge: A Must-Visit Landmark

Getting There

• Subway

  Take the subway to the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station (4, 5, 6 trains). If you're coming from Times Square, board the 1, 2, or 3 train at the Times Square-42nd Street station and transfer at the 14th Street station to the 4, 5, or 6 train heading downtown. Once you arrive at Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station, follow the signs to the exit. After exiting, walk north on Church Street until you reach Chambers Street, then turn left. You will see the entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge pedestrian walkway.

• Bus

  Take the M5 bus from various locations in Manhattan. If you're near the World Trade Center, board the M5 bus heading downtown towards Battery Park City. Get off at the Chambers Street stop. From there, walk east on Chambers Street until you reach Church Street, then turn left. The entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge pedestrian walkway will be ahead.

• Walking

  If you are already in Lower Manhattan, you can walk to the Brooklyn Bridge. Start at City Hall Park, located at the intersection of Chambers Street and Broadway. Walk east towards the entrance of the Brooklyn Bridge, which is located just across from the park. Follow the signs directing you to the pedestrian walkway.

• Ferry

  Take the NYC Ferry from various locations, such as Wall Street/Pier 11. Board the ferry heading towards DUMBO. Once you arrive at the DUMBO terminal, walk up the hill to Washington Street. From there, head towards the Brooklyn Bridge entrance, which is about a 10-minute walk.
