Take the subway to Battery Park, which is the closest subway station to the Statue of Liberty ferry. From anywhere in New York City, you can catch the 4 or 5 train to Bowling Green station or the R or W train to Whitehall Street. Once you exit at Bowling Green, walk west towards the waterfront for about five minutes. If you exit at Whitehall Street, you will be just a short walk to Battery Park.

At Battery Park, look for the Statue Cruises ticket booth. Purchase your tickets for the ferry to Liberty Island. The ferries depart regularly, and the ride takes about 15-20 minutes. Make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure to allow time for security screening.
