    From central Yonkers, walk to the nearest bus stop on South Broadway. Take the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards New York City. The bus will take you across the Bronx River and to the city line. Stay on the bus for about 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the stop at 135th Street & Malcolm X Blvd. From there, walk north on Malcolm X Blvd for about 5 minutes until you reach the Schomburg Center, located at 515 Malcolm X Blvd.

    Head to the Yonkers Metro-North train station located at 1 Hudson St, Yonkers. Take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the 125th Street station in Manhattan. From the station, exit and walk east towards Malcolm X Blvd. Turn left on Malcolm X Blvd and walk south for about 10 minutes until you reach the Schomburg Center at 515 Malcolm X Blvd.

  • Walking

    If you are in the downtown Yonkers area, you can walk towards the Yonkers waterfront. From there, take the Hudson Riverwalk south until you reach the Yonkers Metro-North station. Once at the station, follow the guidance for the train option above. If you're up for a longer walk, you can head east through local streets, but it may take over an hour to reach the Schomburg Center.
