From Fox Glacier, start by heading south on State Highway 6 (SH6). Drive for about 23 kilometers (approximately 25 minutes). As you approach Okarito, keep an eye out for the Okarito Road sign. Turn left onto Okarito Road, which is a narrow winding road that leads directly into the small village of Okarito. Continue driving for about 12 kilometers until you reach the Okarito village. Once in Okarito, follow the signs to the beach, where you can find parking available.
