If you are traveling by car, navigate to the Wanaka township. From Wanaka, drive on State Highway 6 towards the town of Makarora. Continue along the highway for about 40 kilometers until you reach the Makarora River. Look for the road signs indicating the 'Mount Aspiring National Park' turn-off. Turn onto the Mount Aspiring Road and drive for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the Raspberry Creek car park. This is the starting point for the track to Aspiring Hut. Note that there may be a parking fee in the Raspberry Creek car park, so be prepared with cash or a credit card.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Queenstown to Wanaka. Companies like GreatSights or InterCity offer services between these towns. Once in Wanaka, you will need to take a taxi or arrange a shuttle service to get to the Raspberry Creek car park, as there are no direct public transport options from Wanaka to the park entrance. Ensure you book the shuttle in advance and confirm the costs with the service provider. Once you arrive at Raspberry Creek car park, follow the signs to the Aspiring Hut track.

From Raspberry Creek car park, you will begin your hike to Aspiring Hut. The trail is well-marked and starts with a gradual ascent. The hike to the hut is approximately 3-4 hours depending on your fitness level. Follow the track alongside the river, crossing several small streams. The hike can be challenging in places, so ensure you have appropriate footwear and clothing. The terrain may be steep and rocky, so take your time and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
