    From the Mount Cook Village, drive south on State Highway 80 for approximately 2 kilometers. Look for the Blue Lake Track sign on your right. Turn onto the unsealed road that leads to the track's car park. The car park is the last accessible point by vehicle. There is no fee to park here.

    From the car park, follow the Blue Lake Track. The track is well-marked and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Blue Lake. The trail is steep in sections and involves some elevation gain, so be prepared with proper walking shoes and water. The distance is about 3.5 kilometers one way.
