Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving to Tasman Glacier, start from the Mount Cook Village. Head south on Mount Cook Road (State Highway 80) towards the Tasman Valley. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Tasman Valley Road. Turn left onto Tasman Valley Road and follow the signs to the Tasman Glacier car park. The car park is located at the end of the road. Parking is free, but it can fill up quickly during peak tourist seasons.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Tasman Glacier via public transport, you can take the 'Aoraki/Mount Cook Shuttle' service from Twizel or the Mount Cook Visitor Centre. Make sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance, as services may vary. The shuttle will take you directly to the Tasman Glacier car park.
