Walking
Starting from the New Plymouth CBD, head east on Devon Street East towards the intersection with Leach Street. Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the roundabout at the intersection of Carrington Street. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Carrington Street, which will turn into SH3. Keep walking along this road for approximately 3 km, passing the Taranaki Base Hospital on your left. Continue straight until you reach the next roundabout, where you'll take the first exit onto Bell Block Road. Follow Bell Block Road for about 1 km until you reach the entrance of Bell Block Beach on your right, near Wanaka Terrace.

From the New Plymouth CBD, head to the nearest bus stop located on Devon Street. Catch the bus number 3 (Bell Block) towards Bell Block. The bus will take you along the main route, and you will want to get off at the stop on Bell Block Road, which is approximately a 15-minute ride. Once you disembark, walk down Bell Block Road and take a right at Wanaka Terrace. Continue straight for about 300 meters, and you will arrive at Bell Block Beach.
