From Dunedin, take State Highway 1 (SH1) north towards Oamaru. After approximately 90 kilometers, take the exit for SH1 towards Moeraki. Continue on SH1 until you reach the town of Moeraki. Take Moeraki Boulders Road towards the coast, then follow the signs for Shag Point. The drive will take around 1.5 hours. Once you reach Shag Point, turn onto Shag Point Road, and follow it to the lookout, which is well-marked. Parking is available near the lookout.
