From the Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Information Centre, catch the number 5 bus heading towards Ngongotaha. This bus will take you along the main roads towards the outskirts of Rotorua. You will need to get off at the Ngongotaha Village stop. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes.

After disembarking at the Ngongotaha Village stop, walk along the main road (Ngongotaha Road) heading towards the lake. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers, following the signs towards Lake Rotokakahi. The walk should take approximately 30 minutes.
