Start at the Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 1167 Fenton Street. Take the Skyline Rotorua bus (Route 1) towards the Blue Lake Park. The bus will take you through the scenic routes of Rotorua and drop you near the intersection of Lake Tikitapu Road and Tarawera Road. From there, it's a short walk to Blue Lake Park.

From the Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop. Head south on Fenton Street and take a left onto Lake Road.
