Start at the Taupo i-SITE Visitor Information Centre located at 30 Tongariro Street, Taupo. From there, take the 'Hukafalls Jet' shuttle bus service which operates regularly. The bus will take you directly to Hukafalls Jet at 200 Karetoto Road, Wairakei. Make sure to confirm the shuttle schedule at the i-SITE as it may vary seasonally.

Bicycle
For a scenic route, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental services in Taupo. Head north on Tongariro Street, then turn left onto Lake Terrace (State Highway 1). Continue until you reach the Wairakei Drive entrance. Follow the signs for Wairakei and Karetoto Road. The ride is approximately 10 kilometers and will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. Look for the signs leading to Hukafalls Jet.

Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to enjoy a long walk, start at the Taupo town center. Walk along the lakeshore on the Tongariro Domain pathway. Continue along the lakeside until you reach the Wairakei Drive intersection. Turn left onto Wairakei Drive and walk approximately 4 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Hukafalls Jet at 200 Karetoto Road. This walk will take about 1.5 to 2 hours.
