From the center of Wanaka, head southeast on Ardmore Street towards the lakefront. Continue walking along the lakeside path, which will lead you to the Wanaka Marina. Keep walking along the shore until you reach the junction with the Glendhu Bay Track, which begins at Ruby Island Road. This route is approximately 10 km and will take you about 2-3 hours, depending on your pace.

You can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Wanaka. Once you have your bike, follow the same route as walking: start from Ardmore Street and cycle along the lakeside path. The bike ride to Glendhu Bay Track is approximately 10 km and should take around 30-40 minutes. This is a scenic route, so take your time and enjoy the views of Lake Wanaka.
