To reach Rama Meadows from the Karakoram Highway, begin your journey by heading towards Astore District. If you're coming from Gilgit, take the Naltar Valley road which branches off near Gilgit. Follow the road for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the small town of Astore. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for mountainous terrain, as the roads can be rough. Once in Astore, continue towards Rama by following the signs. The distance from Astore to Rama Meadows is about 16 kilometers, and the road is significantly less developed. Expect to encounter some steep and winding sections. It is advisable to have a local map or GPS, as the area can be quite remote.

If you prefer to use public transportation, first take a bus or a shared taxi from Gilgit to Astore. The cost for this journey typically ranges from 300 to 500 PKR, and it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival in Astore, you will need to hire a local jeep or taxi to take you to Rama Meadows. This part of the journey will cost approximately 1000 to 1500 PKR, and the ride will take around 30 to 40 minutes. Be prepared for an adventurous ride as the jeep will navigate through rough terrain.
