From any location in Cusco, head to the main bus terminal located at Av. Infancia, near the Plaza de Armas. Look for buses heading to 'Paucarpata' or 'Checacupe'. The journey will take about 2 hours. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the last stop, which is the town of 'Paucarpata'.

Once you arrive in Paucarpata, ask locals for the route to Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain. You will need to hike approximately 10 kilometers from Paucarpata to the base of the mountain. The trail can be steep, so wear proper hiking shoes and carry enough water. It will take around 3-4 hours to reach the top.
