Train
To reach Winay Wayna Camp, start your journey by taking a train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes. Head to the Poroy train station or Ollantaytambo station where you can purchase tickets for the train to Aguas Calientes, which is the closest town to Machu Picchu. The train ride takes approximately 3-4 hours depending on your departure station. Make sure to check the train schedule in advance and arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before departure.

Walking
Once you arrive at Aguas Calientes, exit the train station and follow the signs towards the town center. From the town center, you can either take a short walk or a local bus to the base of the Machu Picchu trail. If you choose to walk, head to Avenida Imperio de los Incas, and follow it until you reach the entrance to the Inca Trail. Continue walking along the trail towards Winay Wayna Camp, which is approximately a 1-2 hour hike from the entrance of the trail, depending on your pace and fitness level.
