Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main entrance of Machu Picchu, head straight towards the main archaeological site. Once you enter the site, follow the pathway that leads you to the Inca Trail entrance. Look for signs indicating the route to the Inca Bridge. This is a well-marked path, and you will be walking alongside stunning views of the surrounding mountains. It takes approximately 30 minutes to walk to the Inca Bridge from this point. Make sure to stay on the designated path and enjoy the scenery as you go.

    If you are at the Temple of the Sun, exit the structure and head back towards the main pathway. Continue walking downhill until you reach the junction where signs point to the Inca Bridge. Take the path that leads to the left, following the signs. The trek will take about 20 minutes from this location, and the trail offers beautiful views of the valley below.

    From the Inca citadel area, you can also reach the Inca Bridge by heading towards the Intihuatana stone. From the Intihuatana, walk towards the edge of the site where the path to the Inca Bridge diverges.
