Public Transport
From Guimarães city center, walk to the Guimarães bus station (Estação de Autocarros de Guimarães). Once there, take the bus route to Porto, which is typically marked as 'Porto - Campo 24 de Agosto'. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Porto's Campo 24 de Agosto, get off the bus and transfer to the metro. Take the metro line D (the yellow line) towards 'Senhora da Hora'. Get off at the 'Casa da Música' station. From there, you can either take a taxi or use your GPS to walk to Foz do D'Ouro, which should take about 25 minutes.

If you prefer a direct route, you can catch a taxi from anywhere in Guimarães. Simply instruct the driver to take you to 'Foz do D'Ouro, 4150-196 Porto'. The journey will take approximately 50-60 minutes, depending on traffic.
Walking to the Train Station and Train
Begin your journey by walking to the Guimarães train station (Estação de Comboios de Guimarães). From the city center, this should take about 15 minutes. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Porto (São Bento or Campanhã stations). The train ride will take about 1 hour. After arriving at Porto, you can either walk (about 30 minutes) or take public transport (bus or metro) to Foz do D'Ouro.
