From the city center of Porto, head to the São Bento Metro Station. Take the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Hospital de São João. Get off at the last stop, which is the 'Estação de Guimarães'. Once you arrive at Guimarães, exit the station and head straight along Av. Alberto Sampaio. The Muralha de Guimarães will be on your right after approximately a 15-minute walk.

Make your way to the São Bento Train Station in Porto. Purchase a ticket to Guimarães. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule at the station. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Guimarães train station, exit and walk straight along Av. Alberto Sampaio for about 15 minutes. The Muralha de Guimarães will be on your right.

Go to the Campo 24 de Agosto bus terminal in Porto. Look for the bus line that goes to Guimarães; it should be clearly marked. Board the bus and enjoy a scenic ride that takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Guimarães, disembark and walk down Av. Alberto Sampaio for around 10-15 minutes. The Muralha de Guimarães will be on your right.
