Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the center of Guimarães, walk towards Praça de São Tiago. From the square, head east on Rua de São Tiago until you reach the intersection with Rua de Sousa Oliveira. Turn left onto Rua de Sousa Oliveira, continuing until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit to stay on Rua de Sousa Oliveira, which will merge into Rua de João de Deus. Follow this road until you reach the next roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida de Dom João IV. Continue walking for about 1.5 km until you see signs for Parque da Penha. Follow the path leading up to the park entrance.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the center of Guimarães, head to the nearest bus stop at Praça de São Tiago. Look for the bus number 25 that goes towards Penha. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Penha' stop. From there, follow the signposts leading to Quinta Parque da Penha, which is a short walk uphill from the bus stop.

  For a quicker and more comfortable option, you can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing app available in Portugal. Simply provide the driver with the destination address: 'Quinta Parque da Penha, Penha, 4810, Guimarães'. The ride from the city center should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
