Walking
If you're starting from the Livraria Lello (a famous bookstore), exit the bookstore and head southwest on R. das Carmelitas towards R. de 31 de Janeiro. Turn right onto R. de 31 de Janeiro and continue straight until you reach Praça de Almeida Garrett. Here, you can see the beautiful São Bento Railway Station. From there, head towards R. de 5 de Outubro, then take a left onto R. de Passos Manuel. Continue straight until you reach the junction with R. de Camões, then turn right. Follow R. de Camões until you reach the Douro River. Once you reach the river, turn left and walk along the riverbank towards Miradouro a Ponte D. Luís I.
