If you are in the city center, start at Avenida dos Aliados, a major thoroughfare. Head east towards Rua do Almada and turn onto it. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua de Santa Catarina. Turn right onto Rua de Santa Catarina and continue until you see the Mercado do Bolhão on your left. From there, take a left onto Rua Formosa. After a short walk, turn right onto Rua de Camões. Follow this street until you reach the edge of the Douro River. You will want to find the Cais da Ribeira, a bustling riverside area. Walk along the riverbank heading north until you reach the Ponte de Dom Luís I. Cross the bridge on the upper level for stunning views. Once across, head towards the Rua de Ferreira Borges, then take a right onto Rua do Ouro. After a few blocks, turn left onto Rua de São João, which will take you up the hill. Continue straight, and you will arrive at Miradouro do Passeio das Fontainhas, located at Passeio das Fontainhas 21. Enjoy the panoramic views of Porto from this beautiful viewpoint.

Public Transport
Start at the São Bento Station, a central train station in Porto. Exit the station and walk towards the Praça de Almeida Garrett. From there, take the Metro Line D (the yellow line) towards Hospital de São João. Get off at the stop called 'Campo 24 de Agosto.' Once you exit the station, head south on Rua de Passos Manuel. Continue straight until you reach Rua de Cintura. Take a right and follow the road until you reach the edge of the Douro River. Walk along the waterfront until you get to the Ponte de Dom Luís I. Cross the bridge, and upon getting to the other side, follow the guidance outlined in the walking directions above to reach Miradouro do Passeio das Fontainhas.
