Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the São Bento Train Station, exit the station and head towards the main square, Praça da Liberdade. From there, follow the Avenida dos Aliados straight until you reach the intersection with Rua de Cândido dos Reis. Turn left onto Rua de Cândido dos Reis, and continue until you reach the Ribeira area. Once at the riverbank, turn right and continue along the Douro River until you see the Ponte de Dom Luís I bridge. Cross the bridge and take the stairs on the left to descend towards the old town. From here, follow the signs to the Sé do Porto (Porto Cathedral). The Episcopal Palace is located right next to the cathedral at Terreiro da Sé.
