Walking
From the center of Guimarães, head towards Praça de Santiago and walk straight until you reach the Largo da Oliveira. Continue straight onto Rua de São Paulo, and then turn left onto Rua de Camoens. Follow this road until you reach the bus terminal at Guimarães. From there, take the bus to Porto. The bus ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Porto, follow the signs to the metro station and take Line A (Blue Line) towards Estádio do Dragão. Get off at the 'Aliados' station. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Largo Primeiro de Dezembro where the Igreja de Santa Clara is located. You will see the church on your left as you approach the square.

To get to Igreja de Santa Clara from Guimarães using public transport, walk to the Guimarães bus terminal located near the center of the city. Board a bus bound for Porto (check schedules at the terminal, as they vary throughout the day). Once you arrive in Porto, head to the nearest metro station (Campo 24 de Agosto is closest). Take the metro Line A towards Estádio do Dragão and get off at 'Aliados' station. From there, exit the station and walk towards Avenida dos Aliados. Continue straight until you reach Largo Primeiro de Dezembro. The church will be on your left side.
