Start your journey at the Setúbal train station. Exit the station and head southwest on Av. 5 de Outubro towards the city center. Continue straight until you reach the Praça do Brasil. From there, turn left onto Rua do Comércio, which will lead you to the waterfront promenade. Walk along the promenade until you reach the Parque Urbano de Albarquel. Once you reach the park, follow the signs towards the beach, and you will see a path leading up to the 7ª Bataria de costa, which is located on a hill overlooking the sea. The walk should take about 30-40 minutes.

Public Transport
From the Setúbal train station, walk to the bus terminal located adjacent to the station. Look for the bus that goes towards Praia da Figueirinha (Bus Line 25). Get off at the last stop. Once you arrive, follow the signs directing you to the hiking trail that leads to 7ª Bataria de costa. The trail is well-marked and should take approximately 15-20 minutes on foot to reach the fortress from the bus stop.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Setúbal. Start from the city center and head towards the waterfront, following the bike paths along Av. 5 de Outubro. Continue to the Parque Urbano de Albarquel, where there are bike-friendly paths. From the park, take the designated cycling route that leads directly to the 7ª Bataria de costa. The bike ride should take around 20-30 minutes.
