From Braga, head to the Braga Bus Terminal located near the city center. You can take a bus to Viana do Castelo. Look for buses operated by 'Rede Expressos' or 'Transdev', which run several times a day. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Viana do Castelo bus station, exit the station and head straight down Rua de São Bento until you reach Praça da República. From there, you can see the Church of the Holy Martyrs down the street.

Make your way to the Braga Train Station, which is easily accessible from the city center. Purchase a ticket for a train to Viana do Castelo. The train ride will take around 1 hour. Upon arriving at Viana do Castelo train station, exit the station and turn left onto Avenida de Cabo Verde. Continue straight until you reach the riverfront, then turn right and follow the waterfront until you reach Praça da República, where you can see the Church of the Holy Martyrs.

If you are in Braga and prefer to walk, start from the central Praça da República and head towards Avenida da Liberdade. From there, follow signs to the bus terminal or train station to catch public transport to Viana do Castelo. Note that walking directly to Viana do Castelo is not recommended as it is approximately 30 kilometers away and would take several hours.
