Getting There

Walking
From the center of Ruhengeri, head southwest on Avenue du Commerce towards Avenue de la Paix. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto Avenue du Lac. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers, keeping an eye out for signs leading to Lake Ruhondo. As you approach Lake Ruhondo, you will see signs for My Hill Eco Lodge. It is located near the lake, so you can also enjoy the scenic views along the way.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ruhengeri. Start your journey by heading southwest on Avenue du Commerce, then continue straight towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue du Lac. The ride to Lake Ruhondo is about 2 kilometers, and the route is relatively flat, making it suitable for casual cyclists. Look for signage for My Hill Eco Lodge as you approach the lake.

For a quicker option, you can hire a mototaxi (motorcycle taxi) from various points in Ruhengeri. Simply tell the driver you want to go to My Hill Eco Lodge by Lake Ruhondo. The mototaxi will take you directly to the lodge, which is about 2 to 3 kilometers from the town center.
