Walking
Start at the center of Ruhengeri. Head south on Avenue de la Revolution. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Nyabihu District Office. From there, take the footpath leading west towards the lake. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Lake Ruhondo Boat Point.

Bicycle
Begin at the Ruhengeri bus station. Rent a bicycle and head south on Avenue de la Revolution. Keep straight for approximately 2 kilometers until you see the sign for Nyabihu District. Turn left onto the dirt road leading to the lake. After about 20 minutes of cycling, you will reach Lake Ruhondo Boat Point.

Motorbike Taxi (Moto)
From any location in Ruhengeri, you can hire a motorbike taxi. Provide the driver with the destination, 'Lake Ruhondo Boat Point.' They will take you along Avenue de la Revolution. The journey should take around 15 minutes depending on traffic.
