Walking
Start from the center of Acquaviva, near the Basilica di San Francesco. Head southeast on Via della Libertà towards Via del Campo. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Repubblica. Turn left onto Via della Repubblica and walk down until you reach the main road. At this point, you can either take a local bus or continue walking. If you choose to walk, keep going straight until you reach the fork in the road. Take the right fork towards the coast, which leads you to Cesenatico. Follow the signs for Cesenatico, and as you approach the town, you will start to see the beautiful coastline and the famous canal.
Bus
From Acquaviva, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Via della Libertà. Look for the bus stop sign indicating the bus to Cesenatico. The bus number you need is usually indicated on the sign. Board the bus and stay on until you reach Cesenatico. It’s approximately a 30 to 40-minute ride, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Cesenatico, disembark at the main bus station, which is centrally located. From there, you can easily walk to the canal and other attractions.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Acquaviva. Start from the main square in Acquaviva and head southeast on Via della Libertà. Follow the same route as walking, but keep to the bicycle lane. As you approach the fork in the road, take the right fork towards the coast. Continue cycling straight until you arrive in Cesenatico. The ride will take about 30 minutes, and you’ll enjoy beautiful views along the way.
