Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Charleston Visitor Center located at 375 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29403, exit the center and head south on Meeting St towards John St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calhoun St, where you will turn left. Follow Calhoun St until you reach East Bay St, then turn right. Continue walking on East Bay St until you see the signs for Waterfront Park. At the park, you will have a nice view of the harbor. Continue along the waterfront, and after approximately 15 minutes of walking, you will reach Aquarium Wharf. The South Carolina Aquarium will be on your right at 100 Aquarium Wharf.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Charleston Visitor Center at 375 Meeting St, you can catch the CARTA bus #10 (North Charleston) from the bus stop near the center. Make sure to pay the fare (around $2). Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes, and get off at the stop near East Bay St and Aquarium Wharf. Walk down Aquarium Wharf, and you will find the South Carolina Aquarium at 100 Aquarium Wharf, just a short walk from the bus stop.
