From Mount Rushmore National Memorial, head towards the parking area and look for the shuttle service that operates between Mount Rushmore and Hill City. The shuttle runs regularly, so check the schedule posted at the visitor center for the next departure time. Once on the shuttle, enjoy the scenic ride which will take you directly to Hill City.

If you prefer to walk, head south on SD-244 from the Mount Rushmore parking area. Follow the signs for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the junction with US-385.
