If you're already in Retiro Park, the Monument to Federico Chueca is easily accessible on foot. Start from the main entrance of Retiro Park at Plaza de la Independencia. Head straight into the park and follow the central path. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, passing by the Crystal Palace (Palacio de Cristal) and the large pond (Estanque Grande). The monument is located near the eastern side of the park, close to the entrance of the park adjacent to Calle de O'Donnell. Look for the large statue surrounded by trees; it should be visible as you approach.

If you are further away in the Retiro area, you can take Line 2 (the Red Line) of the Madrid Metro. Board the metro at Retiro Station and travel towards Cuatro Caminos. Get off at the next stop, which is Parque de Retiro. Upon exiting the station, head east towards the park entrance. Enter Retiro Park and follow the instructions for walking mentioned above to reach the Monument to Federico Chueca. A single metro ticket costs approximately €1.50.
