Getting There

  • Car

    From Adam's Peak, head northeast on the A7 road towards Hatton. Follow the A7 for approximately 23 kilometers until you reach the town of Nuwara Eliya. Continue on the A7, then take the A5 road towards Horton Plains. Follow the signs for Horton Plains National Park. The entrance to the park is about 10 kilometers from the A5 junction. There is a parking area available for visitors, and be mindful that the park entrance fee is approximately LKR 2,000 per adult.

    From Adam's Peak, take a local bus from the nearby bus stand heading to Hatton. Buses run frequently, and the fare is about LKR 50. Once in Hatton, transfer to a bus heading to Nuwara Eliya (about LKR 100). In Nuwara Eliya, find a bus to Horton Plains (fare around LKR 80), which departs from the main bus station.
