Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Anuradhapura town, take the A9 road south. Continue for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction for the A12 road. Turn left onto A12 towards Polonnaruwa. Drive for about 20 km, and you will see signs for Wasgamuwa National Park. Follow the signs until you reach the park entrance located at QW3C+78R, Nuwaragala. Note that the entrance fee for the park is approximately LKR 3,000 for foreigners.

To reach Wasgamuwa National Park via public transportation, first take a bus from Anuradhapura to Dambulla. Buses leave frequently from the Anuradhapura Central Bus Stand.
