Walking
From the center of Ella, head south down the main street (Passara Rd) until you reach the junction at the Ella Railway Station. Turn left onto the road leading to the station. Continue along this road, keeping the railway tracks on your left. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach a small fork in the road. Take the right fork onto Buduruwagala Rd. Follow Buduruwagala Rd for about 2 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Buduruwagala Raja Maha Viharaya, which is located on your left-hand side.

If you prefer a more comfortable journey, you can hire a tuk tuk from any point in Ella. Simply ask the driver to take you to Buduruwagala Raja Maha Viharaya. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a price before starting your journey.

You can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ella. Start from the central area and ride south on Passara Rd until you reach the Ella Railway Station. At the station, turn left and follow the road alongside the railway tracks. After 1 kilometer, take the right fork onto Buduruwagala Rd. Continue on this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach Buduruwagala Raja Maha Viharaya, which will be on your left.
