    From the main entrance of Horton Plains National Park, drive towards the A7 road. Continue on the A7 towards Beragala. The Thangamale Sanctuary is located about 12 km from the entrance of Horton Plains. Follow the signs for Beragala, and look for the QW9F+GCM location on your GPS. There is a small parking area near the entrance of the sanctuary. Please note that a fee may be required for parking, so have some cash ready.

    If you are traveling by public transportation, take a bus from the Horton Plains area to Beragala. Buses are available, though schedules may vary. Once you arrive at Beragala, you will need to arrange for a tuk-tuk or local taxi to take you to Thangamale Sanctuary, which is approximately 3 km from the bus stop.
