Walking
If you are starting from the Kandy city center, head towards the Kandy Lake. Walk along the lake's perimeter until you reach the Kandy Clock Tower. From the Clock Tower, take the street leading to the Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth). Continue straight until you reach the Asgiriya Junction. At the junction, turn left onto Asgiriya Road and walk for about 1 kilometer. As you walk, you'll see signs directing you to Asgiri Gedige Rajamaha Viharaya. Keep an eye on the landmarks such as the Asgiriya International Cricket Stadium on your left. After passing the stadium, the temple will be on your right, marked by a large entrance gate.

From your location in Kandy, find a nearby tuk-tuk stand or flag down a tuk-tuk. Inform the driver that you want to go to Asgiri Gedige Rajamaha Viharaya. The driver will likely take you via Peradeniya Road. The ride should take about 15 minutes depending on traffic. You will be dropped off at the entrance of the temple. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
