Getting There

Bus
From Kandy, head to the Kandy Central Bus Stand. Look for buses heading to "Hunnasgiriya" or "Panwila". The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Panwila junction for Knuckles. Once you reach the Panwila junction, get off the bus and look for a local road heading towards the Knuckles Mountain Range.

Trekking
After getting off at the Panwila junction, you will need to trek approximately 5 kilometers to reach the trailhead for Knuckles (First Peak). Follow the signs or ask locals for directions. The trek will take you through beautiful tea plantations and forested areas. Be sure to carry enough water and snacks for the hike ahead.

Once you reach the trailhead, you can begin your hike to the First Peak of Knuckles. The hike is challenging and may take around 3-4 hours depending on your fitness level.
