From Kandy City Center, head towards the Kandy Clock Tower and take the road towards the Kandy Lake. Walk around the lake until you reach the Kandy Railway Station. From the station, exit onto the main road (A1) and head towards the Kandy-Badulla Road (A5). Continue straight, keeping the lake on your left until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the exit towards Peradeniya Road (A1). After approximately 1.5 km, you will see a bus stop. From here, catch a bus heading towards Gampola. Inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Elagolla. The bus will take you through scenic views.
