If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Minneriya National Park. Head south on the A6 highway towards Polonnaruwa. Continue on the A6 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Polonnaruwa. Once in Polonnaruwa, follow signs for the Vatadage, which is located at W2W2+WGV. The site is well-marked, and you should see signage directing you to the Vatadage.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Minneriya to Polonnaruwa. Buses are available from the main bus stand near the entrance of the national park. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive at the main bus station in Polonnaruwa, you can either take a tuk-tuk or a taxi to Vatadage, which is approximately 5 kilometers away. The fare for a tuk-tuk should be around 500 LKR, while a taxi may cost around 1000 LKR. Ensure to negotiate the fare before the ride.
