Getting There

  • Walk

    From the center of Nuwara Eliya, start at the Nuwara Eliya Post Office. Head east on Church Road towards the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the A5 road (also known as the Nuwara Eliya - Kandy Road). At the junction, turn left onto the A5 road. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will come across a sign for Seetha Amman Kovil on your left. Follow the sign and take the left turn onto a smaller road leading to the temple. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the Seetha Amman Kovil, which is located at WRM6+76R, Seetha Eliya.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From the center of Nuwara Eliya (for example, near the Post Office), you can hire a tuk-tuk. Tell the driver you want to go to Seetha Amman Kovil. The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes. The driver will take you along the A5 road, passing the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and turning left at the sign for Seetha Amman Kovil. They will drop you off right in front of the temple located at WRM6+76R, Seetha Eliya. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting the ride.

    From Nuwara Eliya, head to the local bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Seetha Eliya or any bus that passes along the A5 road. Once on the bus, inform the conductor that you want to stop at Seetha Amman Kovil. The bus ride should take around 20-30 minutes. After you get off, walk back a short distance to the entrance of the temple, which is located at WRM6+76R, Seetha Eliya.
