Start from the center of Nuwara Eliya, near the Post Office. Head south on the Main Street towards the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the Kandy Road. Turn left onto the Kandy Road and keep walking for about 500 meters until you see the sign for Bahirawa Kanda Road. Turn right onto Bahirawa Kanda Road and walk uphill for about 1 kilometer. You will find Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya on your left.

From your hotel or wherever you are in Nuwara Eliya, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Ask the driver to take you to Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya on Bahirawa Kanda Road in Kandy. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.

Head to the Nuwara Eliya bus station, which is located near the city center. Take a bus heading to Kandy. The journey will take about 1-2 hours. Once you arrive at the Kandy bus station, exit and take a tuk-tuk or walk to Bahirawa Kanda Road. The Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya is approximately 1 kilometer from the bus station, so you can ask a local for directions or follow the signs.
